Pamela EA is a documentary photographer whose practice explores the cultural, ecological, and political dimensions of conservation and climate solutions. Her work engages with communities whose perspectives are often excluded from environmental decision-making. Through participation in scientific expeditions, on-site documentation of regenerative and Indigenous land-stewardship practices, and her continued presence at United Nations climate negotiations, Pamela works closely with community knowledge holders and scientific partners to illuminate the conditions and lived experiences that shape responses to environmental change. Her primary medium is photography, supported by additional work in video and graphic-based visual work.

In addition, Pamela works to advance climate literacy and communication as the co-founder and creative director of Climate Words, a trusted resource that breaks down complex climate terminology for broader understanding. Pamela’s engagement with communities on the front lines of climate change is extended through Latinas por el Clima, which she co-founded to support womxn across Latin America in advancing socio-environmental solutions.

Pamela has documented scientific research in the Canadian, Norwegian, and Greenlandic Arctic, and has produced long-form work including a multi-layered study on the importance of soil health, reported with CNN in Tlaxcala and Oaxaca, Mexico. She has participated in the United Nations Climate Change Conferences annually since 2021 and remains active across international environmental and conservation platforms.

Her work has been featured in CNN, Atmos, VICE, Vogue, and other outlets. She received the Getty Images Scholarship to pursue her master’s degree in photojournalism; was awarded The World Around Young Climate Voice Award for her contributions to climate communication, and named a Fellow International with The Explorers Club.
